CRS INITIATE SAFETY PATROLS AT THE RIVER LAGAN


Following a planning process that began in late 2011, the CRS tonight began safety patrols in the area around the River Lagan in Belfast City Centre. This is the first step in an ongoing process to provide assistance to those in difficulty in that area. The CRS Belfast Unit is currently leading the way in providing this service in support of the police and other emergency services with the support of CRS members from around the province. Belfast City Marathon

Four members of the Belfast Unit have entered the Belfast City Marathon Team Relay Event.   Tom McIlvenny, Paul Stitt, David Taggart and Richard Gordon are raising funds for Community Rescue Service.  Each runner has a sponsor sheet so if you wish to sponsor them you can contact them on an individual basis.  Alternatively you can donate online at either: http://communityrescue.org/donate.php or http://www.jobymurphytrust.co.uk/page2.php
