CRS INITIATE SAFETY PATROLS AT THE RIVER LAGAN

Following a planning process that began in late 2011, the CRS tonight began safety patrols in the area around the River Lagan in Belfast City Centre. This is the first step in an ongoing process to provide assistance to those in difficulty in that area. The CRS Belfast Unit is currently leading the way in providing this service in support of the police and other emergency services with the support of CRS members from around the province. Festival of Flight 2013 (Newcastle)

CRS will be providing support at the forthcoming Festival of Flight which is taking place on Saturday 10 August 2013  in Newcastle.  The Festival of Flight has emerged as one of Northern Ireland’s major festivals which draws huge crowds in excess of 100,000.

The last flying Vulcan bomber, which once carried nuclear weapons, will be making one of its final ever appearances at the Festival. The Festival will also see the Red Arrows making a welcome return to the area and the amazing Typhoon Eurofighter will also be thundering across the local skyline.
